I’m totally playing Mass Effect 2 way to much… must separate from computer…. must stop…. what? What’s that??? I have a new mission? You need me to save a human colony???? well…. in that case….
On a more cheerful note I was hauling some trash (again) in my little rusty truck when I noticed a glowing red light on my dash. What???? It says that my battery is feeling unwell, but I just bought the battery a month ago?!? CRAP! So does this mean I got a crap battery or my alternator is crapping out? So not something to make me the most cheerful of people. I finish my trash run and go in search of the receipt…. OK… I know I have it here…. where the hell…. (papers flying) what the hell??? I don’t throw away receipts… where could it be??? Crap, it looks like I tossed the receipt. Grumble…. Thankfully I checked their website and it says that they store your purchases in a database so you don’t need the receipt. Finally something going my way a little. Then I notice that they will test your battery or alternator for free and without having to pull it from the vehicle. Nice…. Hey, I notice that they will charge your battery for free if needed! So looks like tomorrow I will make a journey to Auto-Zone and wait for them to diagnose the issue. Of course knowing my luck it will be a problem with the alternator. I know…. your saying, “But Ron you do so many projects! Why not work on the truck!”. My answer is I don’t have a garage and for some reason vehicles are not something I enjoy working on… they generally piss me off.В Wish me luck that I don’t get stuck paying large wads of cash replacing parts and pieces of my truck.
On a truly positive note I got my awesome thermostat and installed it already. The install took about 45 minutes or so and amazingly all the wire colors matched up just like in the instructions! Heck I even pulled the cover off my furnace and checked the circuit board in there and it was by the same company and labelled clearly. Holy Crap, something was going my way. I hooked up all the wires and entered about a million optional setting and then tested it out. Do you know that when I told it to heat it actually heated??? When I told it to cool it cooled??? Heck I even told it to just run the fan and the damn thing listened! Oh… I scheduled all sorts of heating scenarios and was reading the manual when I noticed it had an option for intelligent programming… Hmmm…. what’s that? I look it up and the thermostat monitors the time required to heat or cool the house so when you say you want it to be 70 degrees at 7:00 AM the thermostat calculates exactly when to kick on the furnace so it’s 70 degrees exactly at 7:00AM!! How cool is that?
