Yamaha FZ6 modifications to take into account – Part 1

As the owner of a Yamaha FZ6 motorcycle, I find myself in a world of after market accessories and modifications that can improve both appearance and performance of my bike. In following posts, I will enumerate a number of options I found and give a brief description of each. Finally I'll put some of the best candidates for testing in my own FZ6. But first, let's explore the options. Note that virtually anything can be done to a bike but I am going to listmost major elements of the list here, just to keep things simple. In addition, I will take to turn and produce further analysis.

    * Escape – There are a number of options available in the exhaust area. The key here is to find a good balance of looks, performance, weight, and sound. Right now I lean towards the Akrapovic exhaust system. The videos I saw, that sounds good (not too strong), and gives a performance gain of Nice, then it is also one of the lightest. Someexhaust pipes are rated to use the track just enough to attract the attention of local police. I would stay away from it if possible.

    * Windshield – Windshield Yamaha FZ6 values is quite small and, for the driving position, not really the airflow over the rider. The wind beats especially the chest. There are a couple of options to change this situation. Yamaha offers a more extensive tour of the windshield, a little larger and is designed for better air circulation over therunner. Another company called Puig Racing windscreen provides for a bubble "double" design, but not much larger than the stock windshield, pushes air up and over the rider. Personally, I like this option because it gives an extra dimension to the bike, and are available in a variety of looks, including black smoke, and clear.

Seat – One of the things about the Yamaha FZ6 do not like is the seat. For some reason, did not like how it looks. Theseat is comfortable enough, I think I'm used to the R6 seat that has two levels and looks sportier. Once again, Yamaha has an after market supply, but is considered a "convenience" of security, and not very different from the original. I need more comfort, only extra awesomeness. Topsaddlery.com The website has a wide range of seats to measure for the FZ6. The right picture is much more my style. For other dimensions and style of the head of the factory, and I am sureI'm taking a final.
